The Friends of Bulloch Hall present KUIBUKA (Swahili for emergence; pronounced cue-ee-BOOK-ah), a one-woman exhibit of Atlanta artist DAWN WILLIAMS BOYD's 'cloth paintings' January 30 - February 21, 2016. 

 

Williams Boyd's artwork reflects her interests in American history, specifically in the ways it has affected and been affected by its African American citizens. Religion, politics and women's identity and sexuality are also subjects addressed in her imagery.

 

Bulloch Hall, which was the gracious and elegant home of Mittie Bulloch Roosevelt, the mother of our 26th President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt and the grandmother of Eleanor Roosevelt, is located at 180 Bulloch Ave, Roswell, GA 30075 and is open Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 3 pm and Sunday 1 pm - 3 pm. An Opening Reception and Artist's Talk will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 from  3:00 - 5:00 pm. The opening reception is free and open to the public, however seating for the Artist's Talk is limited, call 770-992-1731 for reservations.
