A passion for historical black figures, dilapidated houses and forsaken shanties plays prominent role in my work. Capturing the scars of experience is a most compelling characteristic, and I do not spare such signs in the faces and predicaments of my characters. I have a profound empathy to the drama of ordinary, unheroic human misfortunes, sometimes dwelling on the melancholy vein of human experience, the insults that age inflicts on the human physiognomy. I want the viewer to feel the personalities and emotive qualities in my work.
